Storage Made Simple: FAQ

Your Storage Questions Answered

Got questions about our non-climate-controlled storage units? Here are answers to some of the most common inquiries to help you choose the right storage solution for your needs.

How do I access my unit?

You have convenient access during our business hours. If you require frequent access, our staff can provide guidance to make it simple and stress-free.

Can I upgrade to a larger unit if needed?

Absolutely! We offer a variety of unit sizes. If your storage needs change, you can easily move to a larger unit without hassle.

Are my items covered if something happens?

No, stored items are not insured by the facility in the event of theft, natural disasters, or other similar incidents. The facility only provides storage space; any stored items remain the property of the tenant on file. Tenants are 100% responsible for their own property and need to get insurance – we recommend letting your current insurance provider know about your storage unit for the most affordable rates.

How do I rent a storage unit?

Renting is easy! Contact us by phone, email, or through our website. We’ll help you choose the right unit size, complete the rental process, and answer any questions along the way.

What is drive-up access storage?

Drive up access or non-climate-controlled storage units maintain the natural temperature of the environment. A big advantage of drive-up access units is the ease of moving, since you can just drive up to your unit door to load and unload.

What types of items can I store in drive-up units?

You can store furniture, boxes, appliances, tools, vehicles, and other durable items. Avoid storing sensitive electronics, artwork, or items prone to heat or moisture damage.

What items should not be stored in a storage unit?

For safety and legal reasons, you may not store perishable food, flammable or hazardous materials, illegal or stolen items, weapons or ammunition, living animals or plants, wet or mould-prone items, or high-value belongings such as cash, jewellery, and important documents. Storing prohibited items may result in the removal of the items or termination of your rental agreement.

Can I store vehicles in these units?

Yes, vehicles can be stored in certain drive-up access storage units. We require protection to be placed on the floor to prevent oil stains (such as cardboard or plastic), and recommend preparing your vehicle for long-term storage before putting it away. As always, the facility does not insure any stored property; you are responsible for maintaining your own insurance.
